Krzysztof Szwaj is a member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Białystok and has been registered as a legal counsel since 2006. He has many years of experience in handling commercial disputes, particularly court proceedings between entrepreneurs involving payment claims, damages, unjust enrichment, and recovery of unlawfully obtained benefits.
He has represented leading companies in sectors such as:

Enforcement of promissory note claims in court, including defense strategies for issuers and guarantors of blank promissory notes
Director liability in limited liability and joint-stock companies (extensive experience in defending dozens of cases involving claims based on Art. 298 of the Commercial Code, Art. 299 of the Commercial Companies Code, Art. 21(3) of the Bankruptcy Law, and Art. 116 of the Tax Ordinance)
Proceedings concerning bans on conducting business activity (defense of directors under Art. 373 et seq. of the Bankruptcy Law)

Mr. Szwaj has long provided legal assistance to entrepreneurs in matters involving unfair competition — particularly issues such as exploitation of another’s reputation (so-called “free-riding”), unlawful imitation, trademark infringement, misleading advertising, trade secret violations, and illegal shelf fees. He provides both legal advice and courtroom representation when needed.
